Zusammenfassung:In this study; parasite plants spread in Balıkesir are identified. Also, local names and uses of these species have been determined. It has been identified thirteen taxa belonging to four families (Convolvulaceae, Cytinaceae, Orobanchaceae, Santalaceae) in the study area. The species identified: Cuscuta campestris Yunck., C. planiflora Ten., Parentucellia viscosa (L.) Caruel, P. latifolia (L.) Caruel subsp. latifolia, Bartsia trixago L., Orobanche nana Noë ex Reut., O. caryophyllaceae Sm., Arceuthobium oxycedri (DC.) M.Bieb., Viscum album L. subsp. album, V. album subsp. abietis (Wiesb.) Abrom., V. album subsp. austriacum (Wiesb.) Vollm., Cytinus hypocistis (L.)L. subsp. orientalis Wettst. ve C. ruber (Fourr.) Fritsch. Also, Arceuthobium oxycedri, Cytinus hypocistis subsp. orientalis , Cytinus ruber, V. album subsp. album, V. album subsp. abietis and V. album subsp. austriacum, have ethonotanical features. The most common use of parasitic plants were found in V. album subsp. album and V. album subsp. austriacum in the study area.
