The cover picture shows the anion‐selective electropreconcentration mechanism as well as the concentrating process with an anionic pH indicator, phenol red, as the sample. Contrary to the widely accepted knowledge in the academic society, the electropreconcentration is charge‐selective. One of inevitable phenomena due to the charge‐selectivity is radical pH change (up to 4 units) in the preconcentrated sample plug. Therefore, careful design and interpretation are required when the electropreconcentration is coupled with pH‐dependent experiments such as analyzing enzyme or antibody characteristics. |
