Zusammenfassung:A particularly important aspect related to the proper functioning of the turf is that related to the technological inputs necessary to maintain it in an optimum state irrespective of the climatic conditions, which can be characterized either by excess water or lack thereof in the necessary quantities. The experiments took place under the pedo-climatic conditions of Transylvania, taking into account the particularities of the football stadium from Ungheni, Mures County. If the situation of the Unirea Ungheni Stadium is discussed, it results that, in order to ensure the water balance of the soil on which the football field is cultivated. The drainage application is negatively influenced by the initial soil water reserve and the actual evapotranspiration, while the final soil water reserve favors drainage, as these assertions are valid, according to our study, for in situ behavior in 53.50% of the concrete situations in the field.
