Zusammenfassung: | Drusen are deposits of the optic nerve head present in 0[middot] population, of which 70% occur bilaterally. An irregular knobbly disc margin, anomalous branching of the vessels and autofluorescence help clinical differentiation from papilloedema. Confirmation by ultrasound or CT scan is possible, since such discs are calcified. In this case disc drusen was an incidental finding and age-related cataracts caused the patient's symptoms. |
