Zusammenfassung: | Many reports4,5 have documented that detectable concentrations of cardiac troponin are independent predictors of future long-term cardiovascular events (eg, myocardial infarction, heart failure, death) in healthy populations and in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Cardiovascular effects with sunitinib were seen with a lower frequency in randomised phase III studies in renal cell carcinoma (RCC)' and GIST3 and are reported in the approved labelling, along with recommendations for monitoring in patients with cardiac risk factors. The other authors declare that they have no conflict of interest. *Ming Hui Chen, Maria A Rupnick, Tammy F Chu, Thomas Force, George D Demetri minghui.chen@cardio.chboston.org Children's Hospital Boston, Boston, MA 02115, USA (MHC, MAR, TFC); Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA, USA (MHC, MAR, TFC); Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, USA (GOD); and Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA, USA (TF) 1 Joint European Society of Cardiology/ American College of Cardiology. |
