HIV-1 replication in patients with undetectable plasma virus receiving HAART

With highly active antiretroviral therapy it is expected that plasma HIV-1 will decline to levels below the detection limit of currently available assays. HIV-1 replication in patients with undetectable plasma virus receiving this therapy is discussed.
