Zusammenfassung: | Corrections to polarization losses of the energy of multiply charged ions in condensed media, caused by recharge processes, are considered. Charge fluctuations lead to an additional correlation contribution to the stopping power of an ion. If the mean free path between two recharging events is much greater than the wavelength of the plasma oscillations, the correlation contribution to the total polarization losses of energy can be described by introducing an effective charge that depends on the mean-square fluctuations of the charge. For light ions, the correction to the correlation effects can reach 10%. |
