Zusammenfassung:This paper is an approach to the roman noir written by women, especifically to Fred Vargas' detective novels and Brigitte Aubert's thrillers, in order to analyze the way their vision of society and writing conception is presented through language. This is interesting for this paper however the so called novel of the irreparable -that is the novel featuring a murder and its resolution- deals with a simple plot and precise language. Everything is subject to reveal information; words can betray and most characters, who are dubious in nature, become suspects. These authors exploit and overflow the language resources. They are passionate about language to the extent of breaking and exceeding some of the genre conventions - like detectives' self-restraing exposure.
