Zusammenfassung:Typically queer studies and cultural production in the 18th century have been left to the urban metropolis, but a new study addresses sexuality in the rural areas of 18th century France, specifically large, metropolitan farms such as Marie-Antoinette's Hameau at Versailles. The study contended that by investigating these sites more information will become available concerning the construction of nature, family and sexuality in the 18th century.
