Regional disparities in the trend of effective organs donation and notifications rates in Brazil

Methods: This is an exploratory study, of the time series using polynomial regression model, of effective donors' records and of potential donors' reports (PD) from Brazilian registry of transplants for the period 2009 to 2016. Conclusion: There was an increase in effective donations and notifications in Brazil, however, with important disparities among states, indicating the need to intensify actions to raise awareness of the population and training of health professionals, especially those working in Intensive Care Units because these sectors concentrate on more deaths and potential donors.
