Zusammenfassung:The palliative care (PC) concept is relatively new in Brazil and still faces several obstacles; however, this concept might be an option for patients with advanced illnesses with symptoms admitted to ICU for advanced life support. A multidisciplinary palliative care group (MPCG) was created including physicians (specialists in both ICU and PC), nurse, dietician, and speech therapist.
