Zusammenfassung:Methods: Observational, descriptive study, conducted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Surgical, performed in the Heart Institute (InCor), the 276 ECMO Team of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO). Conclusion: According to the evaluation of the NAS, there is high nursing workload in the care of patients with ECMO, and need more than a professional exclusive nurse within 24 hours of care, which directly affects the dimensioning of nursing staff in the ICU.
