Zusammenfassung: | Peat moss is one the most popular organic substrates used for the production of plantlets in greenhouse; however, this material is imported, expensive and non-renewable. In this study, we evaluated the effect of different ratios of vermicompost (V) and semicompost (S) of cattle manure and pine sawdust, mixed with peat poss (PM), on seed germination and seedling development of lettuce and tomato under greenhouse conditions.
