Zusammenfassung: | This case presents some of the issues in commercializing an innovation by first generation entrepreneurs in the Indian context. The case also demonstrates that a successful technical/technological innovation may not necessarily result in commercial success. Specifically, this case illustrates the problems encountered by some scientists (first generation entrepreneurs) who were euphoric about their innovation and subsequently over the recognition received for their innovation from government and other related agencies but failed to foresee the difficulties in commercialization.
