Zusammenfassung:The history of political theater is long and varied: from the ancient tragedy as a forum of the polis on the dramatic analysis of power and rule in Shakespeare and Schiller, the multimedia agitator mass mobilizations of Erwin Piscator, the form of Brecht's teaching to the provocative and scandalizing actions Christoph Schlingensiefs - Over the millennia, writers and theater makers have developed a variety of strategies to make 'the political' effective on stage. Especially the development of recent years is often described as a paradigm shift, for which Jean-François Lyotard's notion of an 'affirmative aesthetics' as counter-concept to the traditional 'aesthetics of negation' provides the crucial cue.
