Insulin inhibits dog vascular smooth muscle contraction and lowers Ca2positivei by inhibiting Ca2positive influx

A study examined the effects of a physiological concentration of insulin on contraction and calcium2positive in cultured vascular smooth muscle (VSM) cells from canine femoral artery. Insulin inhibits agonist-induced contraction and attenuates the agonist-induced calcium2positive transient.
