Zusammenfassung:The cultivation of hybrid seedlings is the main link in the apple breeding process.[...]it is urgent to standardize the cultivation technology as the support.Based on the scientific research basis and years of production practice of apple seedlings cultivation, the Shijiazhuang Institute of Pomology, Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences formulated the "Technical Specification for Apple Hybrid Seedlings" (Standard No.: DB 13/T 2399-2016), which provides a unified executable technique specification for the cultivator of apple hybrid seedlings, which is of important significance for the promotion of apple industry development and construction of standardized good apple seedling breeding system'31.Application Scope The "Technical Specification for Apple Hybrid Seedlings" stipulates the cultivation techniques for apple hybrid seedlings, namely, rootstock cultivation, interstock grafting, hybrid seeds preparation and hybrid seedlings grafting, and it is applicable for the new apple variety breeding in the apple producing areas in Hebei Province.[...]soak the rootstock seeds in 3% Potassium Permanganate solution for 0.5 h, and then wash with water, followed by soaking in water for 24 h. The soaked seeds are then mixed with the 5 times of the volume of wet river sand (water holding capacity of 50%-60%), and then placed in the ventilated woven bag, which is then lied in the pitch with the depth of 0.8 m. The pitch is paved with wet river sand of 5 cm thick at the bottom, and covered with wet river sand at the top, which is made into the ridged shape and covered with straw.
