OBITUARIES: Sidney David Drell

Bjorken et al present an obituary for former theoretical physicist Sidney David Drell, who died on Dec 21, 2016 at his home in Palo Alto CA. Drell was a leading figure in theoretical particle physics and in public service, notably in his lifelong efforts to abolish nuclear weapons. Drell contributed an important component of the experimental program via what became known as the Drell process.
