New Labels for Black People: An Analysis

There are currently a host of new terms used to describe black people. In many quarters the term Negro is out, and although there is not unanimity, for many people the "in" terms are Afro-American and Black. However, we are witnessing a new generation of labels used to describe black people – culturally disadvantages, culturally deprived, and for those in certain areas, inner city resident.
