Zusammenfassung: | This article examines the effect on international law scholarship of current events, recent trends in legal scholarship generally, and the unprecedented amounts of materials made easily available by advances in technology and new media outlets. The article's research methodology involved three basic steps. First, it identified proxy terms that occur frequently in the subset of each section of the literature that is being examined. Next, it searched for these terms in the Journals and Law Reviews database in Westlaw, being careful to note the number of articles that contained proxy terms in each time period of interest. Finally, the article used Westlaw's "locate" function to identify how many articles that contained proxy terms also contained the term "international." The article has shown that there has been an increase in the coverage of certain topics and there may be greater availability of diverse viewpoints, or at least an improvement of the mechanisms for making those viewpoints more available. |
