Romans 13. 1-7: a Test Case for New Testament Interpretation
The problematic nature of Romans 13: 1-7 is discussed. Four levels in the interpretive process are used and can be labelled as (1) text and context in Romans; (2) inner logic and strategy; (3) social reality and (4) holistic exegesis.
