Zusammenfassung:The kinetics of positive inotropic reaction of the heart of the edible snail Helix pomatia to serotonin were investigated. The central nervous system of gastropod mol luscs is known to be characterized by non unifor mity of serotonin receptors represented by differ ent subtypes [5, 6]; heterogeneity for receptor sub types is also revealed for some peripheral organs of Helix pomatia (5 HT2, 5 HT2]. To find out which receptor subtypes participate in realization of the physiological response to serotonin in this heart, special experiments are required.
