Zusammenfassung: | During the years 1973-1980, the author conducted research in Britain into the ways teachers used fiction in their classroom teaching, with children aged approximately 8 to 12 years. Large number of teachers in primary, middle, and secondary schools over a wide geographical area, but concentrated in the Midlands, completed lengthy questionnaires or maintained book records. Those in the former group were asked a series of questions about the kind of fiction they read and the use to which they put it, while the latter group kept a detailed record of what they did when they used fiction in their teaching. They also gave the time and duration of their lessons. |
