Zusammenfassung:A simple Task Orientation Inventory was administered to 147 postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies students. Examination scores in the nine diploma subjects were standardised. The mean of the nine standard scores was used as a measure of academic attainment. A significant (p = 0.003) inverse linear relationship was found to exist between task orientation and academic attainment.
