Zusammenfassung:•Novel method for synthesizing isomorphically substituted zeolites.•Changes in cell parameters are suitable quantified by Rietveldt Analysis.•Vanadium as V4+ substitutes silicon isomorphically.•Crystals morphology results modified by vanadium inclusion into framework. In this work, both modified silicalite-1 and ZSM-5 were prepared by single gel synthesis and hydrothermal treatment using vanadium 3+, 4+ and 5+ precursors for isomorphic substitution of framework silicon. Vanadium modified MFI materials were obtained and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, DRIFTS, SEM and XPS. These materials presented modification in cell parameters, defects in crystalline structure and in crystal growth.
