"Duplum Bibliothecae regiae Monacensis": The Munich Court Library and its Book Auctions in the Nineteenth Century

The book heritage of Bavarian monasteries constitutes a core element of many libraries worldwide, and the question of how and which books from Bavaria left their homeland and reached new readers and scholars is of international concern. However, research on the duplicate sales from the Munich Court Library has so far been almost exclusively published in German. Wagner examines the Munich Court Library and its book auctions in the 19h Century.
