Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this article is to present an analysis of the impact of the so-called “hot spots citizen security” model on crime levels in Bogota during the administration of Samuel Moreno (2009-2011). Accordingly, two areas - Avenida 19 and Zona Rosa (Chicó- El Lago) were analyzed as case studies. The institutional disconnection of the local entities, the short scope of academic studies for the implementation of public policies, the loss of the importance of the micro-territory as the main receptor of police intervention and the citizen security strategies have avoided that the hot spots model could in fact reduce the level of crime in the city. |
