Zusammenfassung: | Sandra Morgen, known to her friends, colleagues, and students as Sandi, helped to shape feminist anthropology in the past four decades. Through her research and teaching in women’s studies, anthropology, and sociology, primarily at the University of Oregon, she pursued an activist, collaborative approach to critical social issues such as health care, welfare reform, and tax policy that impacted the lives of women in the United States. She passed away on September 27, 2016, after living three-and-a-half years with ovarian cancer. |
