Comments on "statistical single-station short-term forecasting of temperature and probability of precipitation: Area interpolitan and NWP combination"

Leslie and Speer comment on a recent paper by Raible et al. Their paper argues the case for implementing short-term statistical methods for single-station and areal forecasting. Although Leslie and Speer make some criticism of this work, they strongly endorse the general approach.
