Análisis de sectores clave a través de Matrices de Contabilidad Social: El caso de Andalucía

This paper presents an applied analysis to the Andalusian economy for the period between 1990 and 2005. Using Social Accounting Matrices as database, key sectors of the economy will be determined by both classical approaches and alternative ones like the Hipothetical Extraction Method or the Multiplier Product Matrix and its landscape. Furthermore, sectoral employment multipliers will be determine as well. The results show us stability in those sectors with higher impact in the economy and lack of new sectors with relevant ability to generate push and pull effects simultaneusly in the economy. Besides, the impacts of exogeneus shocks on employment terms are concentrating in the same sectors during all the period. These results can be useful for the regional economic planning.
