Materials and Methods Materials Tested animal SPF SD mice, half male and half female, with body weights in the range of 240-260 g, were provided by Laboratory Animal Center, the Third Military Medical University, certification number: SCXK (Yu) 2015-0003. The acute toxicity information of drugs could be acquired in a manner of single time of administration of drugs or multiple times of administration of drugs within 24 h. The drug loading capacity of the Yusheng Xiaoyang Lotion is only of 0.288 g/ml, the effective drug loading capacity is very low, and its animal median lethal dose LD50 hardly could be detected in a trial test. [...]it is anticipated to determine the maximum tolerance dose of the lotion to assess its safety, thereby providing a toxicological basis for clinical application. In this study, the maximum administration dosage (the maximum drug loading capacity of the lotion, 8.97 g/ml) was adopted, the mice in the test group after one time of administration showed normal skin, normal behavior and normal salivary secretion, defecation and urine, and after 14 d of observation, all the mice survived and exhibited normal behavior, glossy hair and increase of body weight in accordance with growth law. |
