Mianyou 281 is the hybrid of the high-quality disease-resistant restorer line QNR281 bred by Agricultural Research Institute of Qiannan Prefecture and the highquality sterile line Mian 7A bred by Mianyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Sichuan Province.Quality and resistance of rice The results of rice quality test in 2008 show that the brown rice rate, polished rice rate, head rice rate, chalky rice rate, chalkiness degree, amylose content were 81.0%, 70.2%, 62.8%, 20.0%, 2.0%, and 22.6% respectively; gel consistency and grain length were 54 and 6.9 mm; lengthwidth ratio was 3.0; transparency was at grade 1, while alkali spreading value was at grade 5, meeting the demands of the secondary standard of national standard high-quality rice.[...]rice should be harvested in good time.
