Zusammenfassung: | Human resource management, both as an academic field and as a function within companies, has progressed tremendously in recent years. No longer is its main focus setting and administering employee policies, and passed are the days of a emphasis on expenditures without regard to cost. Rather, in today's environment, the emphasis is on human resource management from a strategic perspective. Under this vision, human resource management professions work in concert with business unit managers in a shared partnership to achieve long-term employee efficiency and productivity in an attempt to meet organizational goals. Consequently, in order to make cost-effective decisions that enhance organizational outcomes, both managers and human resource professionals now have the added responsibility of learning more about each other's roles and duties. |
