Zusammenfassung: | Food literacy is a relatively new construct, which concerns "the everyday practicalities associated with navigating the food system and using it in order to ensure a regular food intake that is consistent with nutrition recommendation." Here, Palumbo et al discuss a self-reporting assessment tool aimed to gauge individual food literacy and to investigate the main consequences of inadequate food literacy skills. A systematic review of conceptual and empirical studies in the field of food literacy inspired the design of the proposed assessment tool. |
