Zusammenfassung: | Editors face ethical dilemmas when conflicts arise between their loyalties to readers, to authors, and to employers. They can systematically resolve such conflicts by applying an analytical decision-making process called "value analysis". This six-step process enables editors to take advantage of a model to rank core values and resolve the issue in favor of the more important value. An examination of codes of ethics of communication-related professional organizations identified ten core values to use in applying the model. |
