Zusammenfassung: | This research was developed on the Paraguai / Jauquara Watershed - BHPJ, in the upstream area of the Alto Paraguai River (BHARP). The water quality resulting from land use and occupation was considered, in order that the region began to be colonized at the beginning of the XVIII century through the mining of gold and diamond. From the mid-twentieth century has been introduced a mechanized agriculture, prevailing currently sweeping crops, grazings and livestock. To map the area and process the information obtained, were used geoprocessing technologies; and for the assessment of water quality were performed physicochemical analysis. he results indicated high environmental degradation by the riparian woodlands defrestation, in the spring areas, along the river banks for the establishment of croplands and the waters are polluted by mercury and domestic sewage. Another factor that is degrading the rivers is the construction of fishing ranches at the river banks, mainly on the Paraguai river and the opening of "fishing ports." |
