Assessment of Eragrostis tef (Zucc.) as a forage base for growing beef steers

An abstract of the study conducted by Sugg et al, assessing Eragrostis tef (Zucc.) as a forage base for growing beef steers is presented. Sugg et al states that the supplementation with DDG increased weight assimilation in growing beef steers without negatively affecting pasture production or canopy structure and adds that Teff grass may be well suited for backgrounding beef cattle with supplementation.
