Zusammenfassung: | An abstract of the study conducted by Hsueh et al, investigating the effect of fatty acids on mitochondrial function and gene expression in C2C12 myoblast cells in presence during skeletal muscle differentiation is presented. The data from the study suggests that a high-fat diet or supplement may affect myotube formation during myogenesis in fetal stage and regeneration of skeletal muscle in adults via impaired mitochondrial metabolism. |
