A Year in Review

Vaughn discusses the privileges and opportunities that she experience with the school library media specialists (SLMSs) being the president of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). She added that as SLMSs, one must become knowledgeable about current educational trends and practices, and must speak the same language as colleagues within the educational workplace. As AASL integrate solid instructional practice into library instruction, AASL will work alongside teachers to provide a rich environment for students to learn and prepare for the workplace.
