Added value of CA19-9 response to recist staging in predicting resectability of locally advanced pancreatic cancer following induction chemotherapy

Introduction: Determining the resectability of locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) is difficult as computed tomography RECIST-assessment often underestimates the impact of induction chemotherapy. Method: Post-hoc analysis within a prospective mono-centre study in consecutive patients with LAPC...

Zusammenfassung:Introduction: Determining the resectability of locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) is difficult as computed tomography RECIST-assessment often underestimates the impact of induction chemotherapy. Method: Post-hoc analysis within a prospective mono-centre study in consecutive patients with LAPC (according to the DPCG criteria; >90 arterial or >270 venous involvement) who underwent 3 months of induction chemotherapy.
