Zusammenfassung:	From Epsom, he went to Corpus Christi, Cambridge, and then to St Bartholomew's Hospital, London.Because of ill health, his medical training suffered some interruption, and he did not qualify until 1953.In 1955, after working as a houseman at Ipswich (medical), Hereford (surgical), and Kettering (obstetrics), he joined his uncle, Ralph Eminson DSO, and cousin, Michael Eminson, in the family practice in Ashby, Scunthorpe--a practice founded in the early 1800s by his Methodist great great grandfather, Robert Eminson senior, in the nearby village of Scotter.
