Zusammenfassung:•Exfoliated MoS2 promoted PtCu/graphene nanosheets prepared by a facile method.•Excellent electro-catalytic activity toward methanol oxidation.•Superior anti-poisoning ability toward intermediates and lower costs. Herein, we report MoS2 nanosheets promoted PtCu/graphene catalyst as a highly active, anti-poisoning and low-Pt loading catalyst toward methanol oxidation. The electrochemical results have demonstrated that as prepared materials have exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity toward methanol oxidation as well as good anti-poisoning ability.
