Zusammenfassung: | A celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Journal of the ACM (JACM) discusses the years 1991-1997. Progress was made in several areas, including: 1. decreasing the amount of time that papers spent in the reviewing process, 2. changing the typesetting process to allow authors to use Latex without having the paper be retypeset later, and 3. negotiating the electronic rights for accepted papers. There was also an emphasis on increasing the quality and breadth of the Journal during this time. |
