Zusammenfassung:A study that compared the childhood history and current psychosocial functioning of a group of mothers of infants with nonorganic failure to thrive (NOFT) with a group of mothers with thriving infants is outlined. The mothers of NOFT babies were more depressed, reported more negative life stress, had a more negative perception of their infants and had less optimal social networks.
