When the vibrational amplitude is small, the damping properties of Fe‒Al alloys are highly sensitive to external static loads; the sensitivity is much less for Mn–Cu alloys. With decrease in the grain size of Fe–Al alloys, the sensitivity to external static loads is much reduced. |
