Zusammenfassung:An abstract of a study by Rotella et al describing the work to date of the Measuring What Matters initiative and the key findings from a recent AAHPM and HPNA member survey on quality improvement needs is presented. Most palliative medicine clinicians practicing in community settings will be subject to the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Most of the measures included in MIPS have little or no relevance to palliative care.
