Zusammenfassung:Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) disproportionately affects adolescent and young adult (AYA) women and is associated with significant adverse reproductive health outcomes. Here, an abstract of an article by Trent et al comparing the effectiveness of a technology enhanced community health nursing intervention (TECH-N) intervention versus standard of care for improving short-term adherence and 90-day longitudinal Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis outcomes for AYA enrolled in the TECH-N study is presented.
