Entertain Them Where They are: Testing the Feasibility and Effectiveness of a Facebook Intervention to Increase HPV Vaccine Knowledge and Vaccination Intentions Among Adolescents

An abstract of a study by Ortiz et al providing relevant and interesting health information to adolescents via social media may improve their HPV vaccine knowledge and intentions to get vaccinated is presented. Providing health information to adolescents via their social media feeds is a feasible way for clinicians to communicate with adolescents about HPV vaccination and other health issues when the information is perceived as relevant and interesting.
