Zusammenfassung:	The processing of serpentinites by sintering them with caustic alkali has been shown. The majority of silica is leached from the resulting sinter and is recovered from the concentrate magnesium using solutions of strong mineral acids. Amorphous silica is leached from the residue with alkaline solution. The solutions and the solid residue are processed according to the existing technologies.
