Zusammenfassung: | Huffling et al present an excerpt from Connected Science Learning (CSL), NSTA's new, online-only journal. CSL highlights STEM education experiences and programs that bridge the gap between in-school and out-of-school settings, providing inspiration for educators, school administrators, and program professionals. The HERP Project is designed to provide citizens with increased access to herpetology and conservation education in three regions of North Carolina: the eastern Piedmont, the central Piedmont, and the Inner Coastal Plain. As one of their major endeavors, they offered summer Herpetological Research Experiences to diverse high school participants. |
